The Town of Ayer voted on the same question on March 6, and the article passed, therefore a regional school district is formed between the two towns.

The 2010 Motor Vehicle and Trailer Excise bills were mailed on Friday, February 19, 2010 and are due in the Collector’s Office by Monday, March 22, 2010. These bills cover the time period of January 1, 2010 through December 31, 2010. If you do not receive a bill and know you have a vehicle registered in the Town of Shirley please call us. We make every effort to forward returned mail to the proper address by using information from the Town Clerk’s census, the telephone book as well as the post office, but sometimes we are unable to get the proper information. According to state law it is the responsibility of the vehicle owner to make sure they receive a bill. Bills that are not paid on time can be charged fees up to $64.00 plus 14% interest and will be marked at the Registry of Motor Vehicles for non-renewal of both license and registration if they remained unpaid. Office hours for payments are Monday, 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday thru Thursday, 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Other evening and Saturday hours are available by appointment.
