The goal of the Shirley Cultural Council is to help develop cultural programs in the Town of Shirley and to award and administrate Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC) Grant funds. We are a volunteer board and are recommended to the Towns' Selectmen for appointment to the Shirley Cultural Council.
Funding Source:
The Shirley Cultural Council receives an annual allotment from the Massachusetts Cultural Council which we are required to distribute through a Grant process. This Grant Cycle has an annual deadline of October 15th.

2008 GRANTS AWARDED FOR TOWN OF SHIRLEY
The Shirley Cultural Council, has awarded five grants totaling $$4,000.00, for cultural programs in the Town of Shirley. The grants were awarded from a pool of funds distributed to the Town of Shirley by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency that supports public programs and educational activities in the arts, sciences and humanities.
