The Annual Town Election will take place on May 13, 2008 from 7am to 8pm at the Town Offices at 7 Keady Way. Visit the Town Clerk's page for a list of the offices and candidates for the 2008 Annual Town Election.The voter registration deadline for the Annual Town Election is Wednesday, April 23. New Shirley residents and residents who have not previously registered to vote have until this day to register. Shirley residents who have previously registered do not need to re-register unless they have moved within town.The Town Clerk's office will be open for voter registration on April 23 from 9am to 8pm. Absentee Ballots will be available approximately 3-4 weeks before the election. Voters may request absentee ballots until noon on Monday, May 12. A family member of a voter may also submit a request on behalf of a voter. All absentee ballot requests must be in writing. Voters may choose to vote in person at the Town Clerk’s Office or receive their absentee ballot by mail. A voter who previously filed a request to receive an absentee ballot for all elections in 2008 will automatically receive an absentee ballot. Voter registration forms and absentee ballot request forms are available at the Town Clerk’s Office, Hazen Memorial Library, and on the Town Clerk’s page of the town website www.shirley-ma.gov.
