The Presidential Primary and election of Town and State Political Party Members will take place on March 6, 2012.  Register to vote by February 15, 2012.

The Annual Town Election will take place on May 15, 2012.  Register to vote by April 25, 2012

2012 Dog Licenses - Purchase by Jan 31 Print E-mail

Purchase your dog's 2012 license by January 31, 2012 for $15.  The cost is $20 Feb 1 or after.

Town Of Shirley Winter Parking Ban Print E-mail

The Winter Parking Ban will be in effect from November 15, 2011 through April 15, 2012.  The Parking Ban prohibits the parking of any motor vehicle on streets or sidewalks throughout the Town of Shirley, overnight or durning snowstorms.  The purpose of the Parking Ban is to assist the Department of Public Works with snow and ice removal operations.  The Shirley Police Department has been charged with the responsibility on enforcing this ban.

 
Stretch Building Code Presentation Print E-mail

Article V of the Warrant of the Special Town Meeting scheduled for November 7th, 2011 relates to adoption of the "Stretch Energy Code".

James Barry, Western Massachusetts Regional Coordinator of the Green Communities Division of the Department of Environmental Resources, presented a program about the Stretch Energy Code at the Shirley Board Of Selectmen meeting on October 24th, 2011.
