By-Law Information: At a Special Town Meeting on March 26, 2007 the Town of Shirley voted to accept the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 90, Section 20A1/2, which established a procedure for the enforcement of parking regulations, including the issuance of tickets for violations, and provide for a non-criminal disposition process.
Payment Information: Checks should be made out to The Town of Shirley and mailed to the Town Collector/Parking Clerk, 7 Keady Way, Shirley, MA 01464.

Parking Ticket Fines have been established as follows:
Group A - $15.00

Penalties: Failure to pay any parking notice within twenty-one (21) days after the date of the violation will result in an additional $5.00 added to the notice and a second notice will be sent. If the ticket still remains unpaid after fourteen (14) days an additional fee of $15.00 will be added to the parking notice; the Registry of Motor Vehicles will be notified and a fee of $20.00 will be added for non-renewal of license and registration.
To Appeal A Parking Ticket: If you feel your parking ticket is in error you have the right to have a hearing and appeal the fine. Requests for hearings must be made in writing within twenty-one (21) days of the date of issue. Hearing requests may be either mailed to the Town Collector/Parking Clerk, 7 Keady Way, Shirley, MA 01464 or dropped off at the office. Once a request is received a hold will be placed on the ticket until after the hearing. Hearings will be scheduled for the last Tuesday of each month at 3:00pm. Notification of the date and time of your hearing will be sent by the Hearing Officer.
