Town of Shirley (pop. 5,300) seeks qualified candidates to perform administrative work for multiple town offices within the Town Hall including the Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, and Assessors. Duties include providing general information and guidance to applicants about the planning and zoning permitting process for the Planning and Zoning Board of Appeals. Composes, posts, advertises legal notices, mailing notices to abutters and composing agendas and minutes to meetings. Maintains applications for exemptions and administers abatements as well as updates field cards, maps and parcel books, and computer records for Assessors. Minimum requirements: high school education; a minimum of three years of experience in administrative work, experience with the public highly desirable; municipal experience desirable. Starts at $16.87 per hour. Full benefits, incl. BCBS Health Insurance; 40 hrs/wk; evening meetings as needed.
