Are you interested in running for public office in Shirley?

The Annual Town Election is Tuesday, May 3. Available positions on the ballot include the Ayer Shirley Regional School Committee, Board of Assessors, Constable, Library Trustee, Planning Board, Recreation Commission, Select Board, Town Clerk, and War Memorial Trustee (veteran and nonveteran).

Here's how to get on the ballot:

  1. Pick up nomination papers from the Town Clerk’s office on or after Tuesday, Feb. 8
  2. Get at least 27 signatures from Shirley registered voters (these signatures will be reviewed by the Town Clerk)
  3. Return your nomination papers to the Town Clerk’s office by Tuesday, March 15
